ACD Elektronik has two important trade shows coming up in September and October. The all about automation trade show series will first take us to Chemnitz on September 23^rd and 24^th, and a few weeks later, on October 14^th and 15^th, to Düsseldorf. At both locations, the regional automation industry will gather to discuss new developments and technologies, as well as the challenges of today and tomorrow.

One of our key focuses at both trade shows is on how industrial automation systems can be controlled flexibly and directly at the point of use. With our mobile and wireless M2Smart^® HMI system, we combine the safe operation of a wide variety of machines and systems, robots and cobots, as well as AGVs, with maximum freedom of movement. To ensure data security, safety-related data in the M2Smart^® HMI system is transmitted via BT-compatible short-range radio and secured using a black-channel-method. The system connects to the respective machine via a gateway which is connected to the safety PLC of the machine being operated and an NFC tag. This enables quick and easy switching between different machines and systems. Large sections of the machine fleet can thus be controlled flexibly and efficiently using just one mobile operator terminal.

With the new M2Smart^® HMI10TE Wired LE, which is now available, ACD Elektronik is also introducing in Chemnitz and Düsseldorf a high-performance wired solution for mobile and secure machine operation. The development process focused on the practical requirements for a mobile operator terminal in industrial applications. High performance, maximum efficiency and easy integration into machines and systems therefore defined the entire design of the M2Smart^® HMI10TE Wired LE. At the heart of the new operator terminal is a powerful Qualcomm^® processor, which ensures fast response times and creates optimal conditions for demanding HMI applications. At the same time a hybrid cable combines safety functions, network data and power supply in a single cable. This significantly reduces cabling effort and greatly simplifies integration. A push-pull connector also enables quick switching between different machines and four magnets which can be optionally integrated into the rear handle allow a secure attachment directly to metal surfaces. This makes it easy to set the operator terminal aside during longer tasks, leaving both hands free to work on the machine.
