About 25 years ago, the success story of our MAX Mobile Workstation began. Initially designed as a simple, mobile, and compact worktable for the warehouse, equipped with an electrical outlet and swivel casters, it has evolved over the years into a truly versatile piece of work equipment that can be used for a wide variety of applications.

Back in 2001, when the first concept for our mobile workstation began to take shape in the minds of our developers, no one could have imagined what a remarkable success story the MAX Mobile Workstation would become. Originally designed as a simple, robust trolley with casters, a work surface, and a self-contained power supply to run a computer with a monitor and a small label printer, the enormous potential of a mobile workstation with its own power source quickly became obvious. The original idea rapidly gave rise to new applications, which in turn presented further challenges and opened up a wide range of possibilities. However, the basic concept of the Mobile Workstation MAX has remained the same over the years and still forms the basis of every mobile workstation design today. Thanks to its self-contained power supply and the ability to work wherever you want, efficiency is increased, travel time is reduced, and the error rate is minimized by working directly on the product.

After the first MAX Mobile Workstation left the production hall in Achstetten in the early 2000s and proved its worth in the field, it quickly became clear that different application scenarios place different demands on a mobile workstation. With every mobile workstation and every new application scenario—whether in logistics, production, quality assurance, or shipping—our wealth of experience grew. While logistics, for example, requires long service life and a robust design, production prioritizes ergonomic workflows and flexible customization options. Other industries, in turn, place particular emphasis on compact designs, high reliability, and ease of cleaning. Through close collaboration with our customers in these various sectors, we were able to gain valuable insights from practical experience. Many of the new ideas and suggestions for improvement were directly integrated into the further development of the MAX Mobile Workstation, making it progressively more powerful and flexibly adaptable. As a direct result, over the course of the MAX Mobile Workstation’s 25-year history, various models with different performance classes and configuration options have been developed, each precisely tailored to our customers’ needs. Examples include different battery technologies, height-adjustable work surfaces in various sizes, as well as numerous storage surfaces, monitor holders, drawers and printer shelves.

After 25 years, the MAX Mobile Workstation stands more than ever for practical innovation, flexibility, and the delivery of customer-focused solutions. Our MAX thus also serves as a blueprint for ACD Elektronik’s corporate philosophy. At ACD Elektronik, the focus is always on the customer, their application, and providing an optimal solution for it. It is precisely this passion that forms the foundation for the future development of our Mobile Workstation. In particular, we will focus on new technologies as well as ergonomics and efficiency. The success story of the MAX Mobile Workstation is therefore far from over. Looking ahead, we will continue to develop the MAX in close collaboration with our customers and create practical solutions for the demands of modern work environments.
