SPS 2024: Manage your entire machinery with the M2Smart® HMI10 radio from ACD Elektronik!
With the M2Smart® HMI10, which is available now, ACD Elektronik has managed to transfer the operating philosophy of a tablet to the industrial environment of machine operation. The panels are mobile, wireless and TÜV certified, making them the ideal operating device for almost any application. Experience, test and be convinced by our wireless M2Smart® HMI system at the SPS in Nuremberg from November 12 to 14, 2024.
Mobile, wireless and TÜV certified
The mobile HMIs of the M2Smart® HMI radio series from ACD Elektronik are versatile full-touch operating devices. The elimination of the cable and the resulting unrestricted mobility, combined with the modular design of the devices, ensures that the range of applications is many times greater than for wired or stationary operating devices. The HMIs from ACD Elektronik make it possible to control several different machines and systems with just a single operating device. With the TÜV-certified M2Smart® HMI10, employees will in the future only need one device as a personal device to operate large parts of the machine park. To do this, they simply connect their personal M2Smart® HMI10 via NFC tag to the M2Smart® Gateway i, which is connected to the machine’s safety PLC, and within a few moments they can start working on and with the desired machine. Whether in production, for controlling and monitoring individual machines within a production line, for manually operating driverless transport systems or for controlling robots: the M2Smart® HMI system from ACD Elektronik is always the perfect choice.
Safe, secure and ergonomic
One topic that is always on the agenda when it comes to wireless operating systems is data security. To ensure this, the security-relevant data is transmitted between the M2Smart® Gateway i and the operating device via Bluetooth short-range radio. The security of the data can be guaranteed by securing the radio link using the black channel method. For non-safety-related data, for example data for visualization via browser, app or web app, two options for data transmission are available. Either via Bluetooth or via WLAN. If the non-safety-related data is to be transmitted via WLAN, an existing WLAN can be used for this purpose. Alternatively, it is possible to use the M2Smart® HMI Access Point from ACD Elektronik. This is quickly and easily attached to the machine or system to be operated, thus ensuring a stable and uninterrupted WLAN connection. The option of using both Bluetooth and WLAN to transfer non-safety-related data means that the M2Smart® HMI10 remains highly flexible and can be used in almost any working environment.
If the M2Smart® HMI10 is used as a personal device, the topic of ergonomic working also comes to the fore. To ensure that work is as fatigue-free as possible, particular attention was paid to ergonomics when designing the devices. Equipped with a handle suitable for both right- and left-handed users, including an enabling switch, the M2Smart® HMI10 lies perfectly in the user’s hand and the weight of the control unit is comfortably supported on the forearm, not the wrist. The entire HMI system, consisting of the M2Smart® HMI10, M2Smart® Gateway i and M2Smart® HMI Access Point, can be actively tested and seen in action at our booth on the SPS.
TÜV-certified and available now
With the certification by TÜV Süd, the M2Smart® HMI10 system is officially in series production and on sale. TÜV Süd certifies that the M2Smart® HMI10 and the M2Smart® Gateway i have functional safety according to EN ISO 13849 and a safety function up to PLd. There are also good news from our 5-inch variant, the M2Smart® HMI5 and the M2Smart® Gateway o. These devices are also in the final test phase. This means that a TÜV-certified wireless operating device in a smartphone form factor will soon be available for all customers who only require a small display.
