SPS Italia is one of the most important events in the field of smart and digital automation in Southern Europe and is one of the central platforms for our Italian partner Telestar S.r.l. to present its product portfolio. We were therefore delighted to be part of Telestar’s trade fair presence again this year with our M2Smart^® HMI system and to be able to present our products at Telestar’s booth.

Our partnership with Telestar is a great example of how cooperative sales can work in an international setting: with mutual trust, the goal of finding solutions together and working together on equal footing. As a medium-sized manufacturer in southern Germany, we’re proud of our partnership with Telestar and the chance to show our M2Smart^® HMI system to an international audience of experts in Italy.

Our M2Smart^® HMI system features a modular design and does not require a cable for data transmission. This combination opens up a wide range of new application possibilities. With just one control device, you can safely and conveniently control multiple machines, systems, robots or automated guided vehicle, even if they are different types. ACD Elektronik uses BT-compatible short-range radio to transfer safety-related data between the M2Smart^® HMI control device and the M2Smart^® Gateway connected to the safety PLC. This wireless communication is secured by a black channel procedure. Non-safety-related information is transmitted directly between the control device and the machine, either via WiFi or BT-compatible short-range radio. To ensure that the M2Smart^® HMI system can be used flexibly in a wide range of industrial applications, two device variants are available as operating devices: the M2Smart^® HMI5 with a 5-inch display and the M2Smart^® HMI10 with a 10-inch display for applications that require a larger display for process visualization. Both devices comply with industrial standards and are equipped with an enabling switch and an illuminated emergency stop.

Participating at SPS Italia at our partner Telestar’s booth was a complete success for us and the positive feedback we received from Italian industry professionals about our product confirms that we are on the right track with our work over the past few years. Other highlights at the event included the many exciting discussions and the excellent, close cooperation with our colleagues from Telestar.
