Increased usability and even more information for the customer
ACD Elektronik has completely restructured and redesigned its previous customer portal and the associated download area. With the aim of putting significantly more information online for customers and making the portal clearer and more customer-friendly to use, the new customer portal went live in September 2022.
Android™ Industrial+ patches and upgrades now available online
After redesigning the web presence during the past year, the redesign of the customer portal was the next logical step for ACD’s online presence. The increasing use of Android™ as the basic operating system for mobile devices has also led to a change in customer behavior in recent years. Whereas in the past updates were often delivered in direct contact, the majority of customers now want to obtain the software quickly and easily directly from a portal, as they are used to doing on their smartphones. In addition, the requirements for security patches and upgrades have increased due to higher Android™ versions on the market and longer device life cycles.
ACD All-In-One Support and Maintenance
All these requirements are now met with the new ACD customer portal. Logically divided by product groups and products, users can quickly find the documents, software and apps they need and download them with one click. Free information is directly accessible, while paid information such as software updates, upgrades and apps require a login and a “ACD All-In-One Support and Maintenance” contract. This then entitles the customer not only to free software downloads, but also to unlimited telephone or online support with ACD Elektronik technicians.
According to Managing Director Andreas Zwißler, “With our new customer portal, we can finally meet the many requests for an easily accessible information portal and make our acquired and collected know-how available to customers in a simple and clear manner.”
