There are some news around our popular vehicle mount terminals of the MFT1xSE series. Especially with regard to the mounting of the devices, several improvements have been made. Among other things, the number of screws required to attach the interface cover to the back of the vehicle mount terminal has been reduced from eight threaded screws to four. Furthermore, only one tool is needed to perform all assembly work around the forklift terminal. From now on, the interface cover can also be easily removed and reattached after the terminals have been mounted on the adapter bracket.

Another innovation that will make mounting much easier is the redesign of the cable fixation. This will be done via a simple cable fixing in conjunction with a foam rubber strip. This improvement will significantly reduce assembly time, and this form of cable fixation also ensures that the likelihood of assembly errors is reduced. The strain relief is integrated into the optimized interface cover, so that no further accessories are required.

The vehicle mount terminals are protected against the ingress of foreign objects and splash water thanks to a protection class of IP54. For very demanding environmental conditions, the previous interface cover with IP65 protection is still available to customers.

There is an additional innovation especially for the MFT10SE with resistive touch screen. The 10 inch vehicle mount terminal of ACD Elektronik will be delivered with an anti-reflective touch screen foil from now on. This ensures even better readability of the display, especially in challenging lighting conditions, such as direct sunlight or strong LED lighting in the warehouse or industrial environment.
